Hilton Hotels
- Be sure to join Hilton Honors to receive free wifi and accumulate points
- You can become a Gold member by having the Hilton Amex Surpass credit card, annual fee $95. Gold status gives you free breakfast for two every day. Room upgrades if available. Higher points earned for purchases and staying. Free weekend night certificate.
- You can become a Diamond member by having the Hilton Honors Amex Aspire card, annual fee $450. Diamond status also give you free breakfast for two every day. Room upgrades if available. Even higher points earned for purchases and staying. Free weekend night certificate. 1000 points per stay. Complimentary access to executive lounges even if you aren't in an executive room. In my first year of having this card, the highest status hasn't resulted in any extra upgrades, but the executive lounge has been appreciated.
- Points are worth between $.005 and $.006. As a Hilton Honors base member you get 10 points for every dollar spent. With a Hilton brand credit card the points go up exponentially. Example: for a stay that costs $500 you would receive 5,000 points. As a Diamond member I get 10,000 points and because I have the Aspire Card I get an additional 7,000 points.
- There are frequent bonus programs for extra points.
